IconReplacer is a freeware program intended for replacing icons in executable programs, under Windows 9.x/ME/NT/2000/XP.

IconReplacer always saves a copy of the selected executable program replacing its icon by the .ICO file that had been selected.

Four Easy steps to replace the icon of any executable program:

  1. Click 1 Browse to select where the source program is located or just write the program file name and path in the Source file textbox.
  2. Click 2 Browse or write the program name you want to create, using a new icon, in the Output file text box.
  3. Click 3 Browse to select where the icon file is located or write the icon file name and path in the Icon file text box.
  4. Click Start to create the new program (select in the Output file text box) using the selected icon.

Limitations:

IconReplacer only supports 16 colors icons when running under Windows 9.x/ME, but can use icons with more colors under Windows NT/2000/XP.

Not all icons are supported. To know if some icon may be used just try it.
